We are proud to stand with organisations across the UK in support of ASB Awareness Week 2026, running from 29 June to 5 July 2026. The national campaign, led by Resolve, shines a spotlight on the impact of anti‑social behaviour (ASB) and promotes safer, stronger communities.

ASB Awareness Week is supported by HM Government, the Local Government Association, the National Police Chiefs’ Council, National Fire Chiefs’ Council, Historic England, Neighbourhood Watch, the Premier League Charitable Foundation, the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners, and many others.

Now in its sixth year, ASB Awareness Week comes at a crucial moment. New research from YouGov, commissioned by Resolve in April 2026, shows that ASB is both widespread and worsening. More than half of UK adults have experienced or witnessed ASB in the last three years, and six in ten believe more needs to be done to tackle it.

We are marking ASB Awareness Week 2026 with a series of targeted initiatives across Widnes and Runcorn, demonstrating our commitment to tackling ASB, supporting customers, and working collaboratively with partners.

Monday 29 June

We are carrying out joint visits with Cheshire Police to properties identified as potentially storing illegal bikes or scooters.

  • Morning: Widnes
  • Afternoon: Runcorn

Wednesday 1 July – Friday 3 July

We are supporting Halton Borough Council and Cheshire Police in a coordinated initiative to tackle illegal fly‑tipping. Our Neighbourhood Team will be on site to identify any Halton Housing customers and offer support or take appropriate action.

Wednesday 1 July

The Vibe youth bus will be in Stewards this week, and to encourage young people to get involved, free Domino’s pizza will be available at the session. Find out more here.

The YouGov research highlights a clear public appetite for action:

  • Nearly half of adults say ASB is a problem where they live
  • 41% believe ASB has increased in their area over the last three years
  • Most victims and witnesses do not report ASB, often because they believe nothing will be done or do not know how to report it

Laura Davies, Neighbourhood Manager, said: “We are committed to supporting ASB Awareness Week 2026. Anti‑social behaviour has a real impact on people’s sense of safety, wellbeing, and—at times—their ability to feel secure in their home. ASB Awareness Week is an important opportunity to raise awareness, support victims, and make sure people know where to turn for help."
