Funding Helps Keep Upton Youth Club Running

A fresh boost of funding will help keep the much‑loved VIBE Upton Youth Club thriving. We’ve helped secure £5,000 to support the club through 2026–27, building on the backing that first helped it launch as part of the Destination Upton programme in 2023

Since then, the youth club has grown into a valued local service. It provides regular sessions and positive activities for children and young people in the area.

To help make sure the club can continue, we secured £5,000 from the Travis Perkins Legacy Fund, using social value funding available to us. Each time we buy everyday materials and supplies from Travis Perkins, a percentage of that spend is set aside in a dedicated fund. This money is then used to support local community projects that create positive social impact – including the Upton Youth Club.

The funding will help cover the cost of running the Upton Youth Club in 2026 to 2027. This will allow VIBE to continue offering structured activities and a safe, supportive space for young people.

The youth club has also received separate funding from the Community Safety Partnership Halton. This shows a shared commitment from local organisations to support young people and create positive outcomes for the Upton community.

Georgina Crank, Social Impact and Engagement Officer, said: “We are really pleased to be able to support VIBE again by helping secure funding for the year ahead. The youth club has become an important part of the Upton community, and this funding will help the good work continue.”

We would like to thank Travis Perkins for their continued support through the Legacy Fund, and all partners who help to support youth services in Upton.

This support reflects our ongoing commitment to listening to local needs, working with partners, and helping community services that make a positive difference for young people and neighbourhoods.
