We're delighted to be supporting this year's Widnes Duck Hunt by helping to fund the event's first aid provision, ensuring families and visitors can enjoy the activities safely throughout the month.

Taking place throughout August, the Widnes Duck Hunt combines a giant duck trail with a community festival and fundraising event, encouraging families, friends and local residents to get involved and explore Widnes.

This year's event is supporting the organisers' campaign to fund and install their 50th community defibrillator, building on the life-saving equipment they have already helped provide across the local area.

From 1 to 30 August, 40 sponsored ducks will be displayed at locations across Widnes, each with its own unique name. Participants are invited to follow the trail, discover all 40 ducks and enter a prize draw by completing the challenge.

The month-long event will culminate on Saturday 30 August with a live Duck Hunt and Community Festival at Victoria Park, Widnes, from 10am to 4pm. Visitors can enjoy community stalls, family games, a teddy bears' picnic, live music, prize giving and much more.

As part of the festivities, ten large glitter ducks will be hidden within half a mile of the park. Lucky participants who find a duck and return it to the organisers will receive a prize.

By helping to fund the event's first aid provision, we're supporting the organisers in delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone taking part while they continue their fundraising efforts for their 50th community defibrillator.

Georgina Crank, Social Impact and Engagement Officer, said: "We're delighted to support this year's Widnes Duck Hunt. It's a fantastic community event that brings people together, encourages families to get active and explore their local area, and raises money for an incredibly important cause.

"The organisers' ambition to fund and install their 50th community defibrillator is inspiring, and we're pleased to play our part in helping the event take place safely. We hope lots of local people get involved and enjoy everything the Duck Hunt has to offer throughout August."

Trail maps can be downloaded via the Widnes Duck Hunt Facebook and Instagram pages, or accessed through Google Maps.
