Last week, Geoff Linnell, our longest-serving Board member, attended his final Board meeting as he prepares to step down from Halton Housing at the end of September.

Since joining the Board in 2018, Geoff has played an important role in helping to shape and support the organisation over many years. His long-standing contribution has extended beyond the Halton Housing Board, with Geoff later appointed to the Board of our commercial subsidiary, Open Solutions (OSUK) Ltd.

He has also served as a valued member of our Audit and Risk Committee, bringing a steady focus on good governance, effective oversight and sound decision-making.

A highly accomplished Non-Executive Chair and Director, Geoff brings more than 40 years of experience in business transformation. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for increasing business value, strengthening governance and risk management, and bringing people together to achieve consensus.

On behalf of everyone at Halton Housing, we would like to thank Geoff for his dedication, insight and service, and wish him all the very best for the future.
