We’re proud to receive a SHIFT Silver Award for the second year running.

SHIFT enables social landlords to report their environmental impact across a range of measures, and the Silver Award confirms that we have firmly embedded sustainability as part of our strategic approach, operational activity, and in our existing homes and new builds.

As part of our commitment, we have become early adopters of the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing to let our investors, customers and all stakeholders see our performance against each of the key criteria, and how they align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Last year we published our first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report as part of our wider performance reporting, demonstrating to funders and stakeholders how we take seriously our responsibilities around tackling climate change, delivering on our social purpose and ensuring good governance.

The ESG report is part of our wider performance reporting, demonstrating to funders and stakeholders how we take seriously our responsibilities around tackling climate change, delivering on our social purpose and ensuring good governance.

We’re committed to improving lives and reducing carbon through energy-saving projects, green initiatives, education, engagement, and awareness. We will continue our hard work and efforts to do more and keep improving our carbon footprint in a sustainable way.

Over the next 12 months, all Halton Housing colleagues will become Carbon Literate by undergoing Carbon Literacy Training to make them aware of carbon costs and climate change impacts of everyday activities.
