Working with TPAS (Tenants' Participation Advisory Service), Halton Housing is recruiting six customers to join our new Customer Committee — a group that will help shape services, monitor performance, and ensure the customer voice is heard at the highest level.

Why It Matters

The Customer Committee will:

  • Influence service standards and policies
  • Review performance and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure Halton Housing delivers on its promises
  • Report directly to our Board

This is your chance to really represent our customers' voice!

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for Halton Housing customers who:

  • Are passionate about improving their communities
  • Understand what matters most to fellow residents
  • Can confidently contribute to meetings and discussions
  • Are committed to equality, inclusion, and collaboration

No formal experience is required — just a willingness to get involved and represent others.

Eligibility

To apply, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Be a current Halton Housing tenant
  • Not be in breach of your tenancy agreement or subject to legal action
  • Not have an unspent conviction for an indictable offence

What You’ll Get

As a Customer Committee member, you’ll be rewarded not just financially — but with the chance to shape services, grow your skills, and make a real impact in your community.

  • £3,000 per year (subject to PAYE)
  • A chance to influence real change
  • Training and support
  • Opportunities to develop new skills

Time Commitment

We know your time is valuable — that’s why the commitment is flexible and manageable, designed to fit around your life while still making a meaningful impact.

  • Around half a day per month
  • Attend four meetings per year (April, July, October, January)
  • Meetings held at Waterfront Point, Widnes, with online options available
