Hello from Halton Housing! We are a dedicated team of 330, managing over 7000 homes in the Northwest of England. While we are incredibly proud to hold the Gold Standard from Investors in People (IIP), we are firm believers in the ethos of constant learning and growth. The journey, for us, is just as significant as the destination. As part of our commitment to this journey, we've teamed up with some exceptional partners to embark on an exciting new project!

Introducing Our Dynamic Allies - Data Clan and 'Here'

Allow me to introduce our key collaborators, Data Clan. Picture a league of data superheroes, with a passion for problem-solving, deep well of diverse perspectives, and a toolkit filled with real-world experience. They have journeyed from the Age of Experience, through the Age of Information, and are now heralding the Age of Data. Originally assembled as a panel of experts during the global pandemic, they have adapted, evolved, and are now among the foremost thinkers in our data-driven world.

Also joining us on this journey is 'Here,' a pioneer in the location data and technology realm. With a footprint in fifty-two countries, they've been transforming the way we understand our physical world for over 35 years. They believe in improving our planet's asset utilisation, and they're doing their bit with their revolutionary digital mapping technology. In an age overwhelmed with data, they provide clarity, creating accurate, user-friendly digital representations of our world.

Charting the Future of Work with 'PlaceMap'

Our joint endeavour? An ambitious project called ‘PlaceMap.’ As our workplaces evolve rapidly, thanks to technological advancements and recent global events, we're left with a pertinent question: How can we understand and measure workplace performance in this brave new world?

Data Clan beautifully sets the stage with this narrative.

Once upon a time, in a world where one day followed the next with near complete predictability, most highly valued was something that could not be bought, or even taught. Something that could only be assimilated over time and through immersion.

That was the Age of Experience.

As society and industry developed and became ever more sophisticated, experience ruled. But with this complexity it became necessary to distil the essence of a situation in order to apply the most appropriate experience.

That was the Age of Information.

But as the pace of change grew, experience of the past became less relevant, even when adequately informed of the situation. Solutions that were tried and tested now failed because they were dependent on a context that no longer existed. And as the context changed ever more quickly, the value of experience diminished, until the global pandemic changed everything.

There was no experience. No one had been through this. Everything was new, and all that was left was the startling need to predict the future, not based on the past, but based on models, simulations and analytics. Abnormal was the new normal.

Welcome to the Age of Data".

This is where PlaceMap comes in, a three-stage journey led by Data Clan and supported by Here & Halton Housing.

Stage 1: The Challenge is all about understanding the swift shifts in workplace models. We're hunting for actionable insights, developing strategies, and constructing a whole new set of yardsticks for success.

Stage 2: The Solution has us designing a flexible workplace performance index. We'll delve into how different performance metrics impact various sectors, with the aim of staying not just one, but several steps ahead.

Stage 3: The Output is the exciting culmination of our journey. We'll create a comprehensive workplace performance index, mapping out over 70 KPIs and delivering a data-driven roadmap for our future strategies and work models.
