We are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week, taking place from 7th to 13th February.

‘Build the Future’ is the theme which aims to encourage people young and old  to consider how apprenticeships help individuals to build the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career.

Throughout the week we will be sharing stories, experiences and insights from our current apprentices highlighting the range of roles they are doing, and the rich talent and enthusiasm they bring.

We will be sharing exclusive profiles of several of our apprentices as they explain the benefits of choosing an apprenticeship with us and how it is helping them to develop their careers.

We are aiming to have 15 apprentices by 31st March 2023 and we are well on our way to achieving this target. Our aim for the future is to work towards a commitment of 5% of the workforce being apprentices.

In addition, we will be sharing a blog from Neil McGrath, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer and Chair of Riverside College on our commitment to apprenticeships, the value they bring, and our ambitions to become a member of the ‘5% Club’.

We will also be hosting a range of other activities including an Apprenticeship Open Day for colleagues and some of our Leadership Team becoming apprentices for the day.
