ClickSilver Connections is giving Halton Housing customers the opportunity to enhance their digital skills through their free one-to-one mentoring programme.

If you are a customer aged over 50 with limited or no digital skills, we can refer you to the ClickSilver Connections programme, delivered by Business in the Community, which provides four weeks of free telephone support to help you to use your phone, computer, tablet, and more.

The four-week programme focusses on giving you the confidence to do things digitally. The sessions are designed around your needs and can cover topics such as:

  • Computer settings

  • Getting online

  • Useful websites

  • Using online platforms to keep in touch with family and friends

  • Setting up GP appointments

  • How to email

  • Online shopping and payments

  • Accessing community support groups

How does it work?

All four calls are delivered by a mentor on a one-to-one basis and last between 30 minutes to one hour. All mentors are DBS checked volunteers who are eager and waiting to support anyone who is struggling with technology. To be able to take the calls, you will need a phone to be contacted on however this does not need to be a smart phone.

Who is eligible for the programme?

To take part in the programme, you need to be a Halton Housing customer aged 50+. We can consider referring customers aged 18+ if you're in need of digital help.

Dates and Deadlines -

If accepted onto the programme, sessions would run from 12th September - 7th October.
