Halton Housing and Miller Homes share progress on new development: Lunts Heath Rise in Widnes, Cheshire

Halton Housing is pleased to report that construction is well underway on its first development in partnership with Miller Homes. This significant milestone for both companies involves the delivery of 34 homes at Lunts Heath Rise, Widnes. 

The development will feature a mix of housing options to cater to diverse needs, including 30 affordable rent homes and 4 shared ownership homes. The shared ownership homes will consist of four 3-bedroom properties with 2 different style homes available. Additionally, the development will include three sets of cottage style apartments, all of which will be 1-bedroom homes and two sets of apartment blocks with 2-bedroom apartments, some of which have been designed to include ground floor level access bathrooms.  

In line with modern living standards, all properties at Lunts Heath Rise will be equipped with electrical car charging points. The development will also feature two play spaces as part of the wider community amenities. Each home will be feature  high-quality fixtures, fittings and finishes and,  kitchens, ensuring they stand the test of time. 

Handovers for the properties are expected to commence from Summer 2025 and continue through Winter 2025, with a brief pause before the final apartment block is handed over in 2028. Wilkinson Cowan will be acting as the Purchasing Agent and Clerk of Works (COW) on this project, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
