As part of our Destination Old Town programme, we proudly funded a series of creative workshops for young people in December 2024, hosted by Hazlehurst Studios.

Building on the success of their summer programme, these workshops were designed to nurture creativity, help participants build social connections, and introduce them to new artistic and storytelling techniques.

Thanks to our funding, we were able to bring the young people back for a winter-themed Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) adventure that included both fun gameplay and hands-on creative sessions. This initiative aimed to boost confidence, foster artistic skills, and promote teamwork, all while keeping the sessions accessible and inclusive for all involved.

Participants engaged in a variety of activities, from creating their own D&D characters and crafting intricate storylines to collaborating on art projects inspired by their adventures. The impact of these workshops was profound, as young people not only developed new skills but also formed lasting friendships and gained a sense of accomplishment.
