We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in not one but two categories in this year’s Women in Housing and Housing Heroes Awards; Team of the Year and ‘Woman of the Year’.

The combined awards aim to celebrate the leaders, innovators and changemakers across the Housing sector, shining a light on the incredible work carried out by teams and individuals in the past 12 months.

The Team of the Year award will recognise a team that has made an exceptional contribution to delivering their organisation’s goals over the last year, a team that has made a real difference to the communities they work with. The Woman of the year award will recognise someone who has been an inspiration to others over the last 12 months, an outstanding ambassador for women in housing who excels in whatever they do.

In recognition of the incredible work they do for our customers every day, our Neighbourhoods Allocations Team has been shortlisted in the ‘Team of the Year category, whilst Neighbourhood Manager, Amanda Hogarty has been shortlisted in the ‘Woman of the Year’ category.

Halton Housing’s Neighbourhood Allocations Team are responsible for the allocation of over 2000 properties across the Cheshire towns of Widnes and Runcorn, working closely with our customers to identify their housing needs and any support needed to maintain their tenancy.

Neighbourhood Manager Amanda manages a passionate team that is dedicated to working with customers through tenancy management from tenancy sustainability to safeguarding and anti-social behaviour.

Both Amanda and the Neighbourhoods Allocations Team play a vitally important role in helping us deliver on our ambitions to improve people’s lives.

Of both shortlists, Sharon Morris, Head of Neighbourhoods said:

“I am so proud of Amanda and the Neighbourhoods Allocations Team, they work tirelessly to ensure our customers have all the support they need from the start of their journey with us to ensure a successful tenancy. Their knowledge of housing, support and safeguarding is second to none and their commitment to improving people’s lives is evident in everything they do. They all thoroughly deserve these nominations.”

The awards ceremony will take place in Manchester on Monday 27th June.
