Over the past few weeks, our Social Impact and Engagement team has once again been busy preparing for Christmas, delivering festive support to families and individuals across our communities.

This year, the initiative provided 77 Christmas hampers, supporting 51 families and 25 adults, and bringing festive cheer to 169 children. In total, an incredible 507 gifts were distributed, helping to make Christmas morning a little brighter for those who needed it most.

Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, partners and the wider community, the hampers were packed full of essential food items to support families over the Christmas period, alongside festive treats and gifts. Our colleagues also played a key role, donating 80 gifts and helping to prepare and deliver hampers across the borough.

As always, this initiative would not be possible without the amazing support of our partners. We would like to say a huge thank you to the contractors who contributed this year, including:

ACS, Markhams, Clan, Curley Group, AKM, Maclec and Halton Borough Council Trading Standards.

We are also extremely grateful to Barkla Buskers, and customers at Naughton Fields and Barkla Fields, whose fundraising efforts and donations helped make this year’s project such a success.
