Our small but mighty Development team has gone from strength to strength, developing their own talent in house.

We are pleased to announce that Kathryn Voss (Kat) has successfully completed her two-year training programme and is now stepping into her well-earned role as a Development Project Manager.

The success of the Trainee Development Project Manager programme is a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent and providing clear pathways for career progression. This programme follows on from our Graduate Development Project Manager programme, and we are proud to see that we now have two team members who have successfully advanced through these pathways.

Throughout her two-year programme, Kat has worked on various development projects, demonstrating great dedication and a real drive to learn and succeed. Many colleagues, as well as our development partners and contractors have had the pleasure of collaborating with Kat and have witnessed her growth and commitment firsthand.

Kat’s journey to becoming a Development Project Manager has been a gradual and dedicated process. She began her career in the development team as an Administrative Assistant, where her responsibilities included managing the team’s diary and monitoring defects for new build properties.

Her hard work and attention to detail led to her promotion to Development Coordinator. In this role, Kat took on the management of defects for both Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership new build homes. She also liaised with customers and contractors and managed Health and Safety files.

Kat’s progression within the team is a testament to her commitment and capability, demonstrating her growth from administrative support to a key managerial role.

Our Development Project Managers manage the development of our new build schemes, from inception through to completion, collaborating with our delivery partners and key internal and external stakeholders.

James Mannering, Senior Development Project Manager who mentored Kat throughout her training programme, said: "Kat's journey over the past two years has been fantastic. Her dedication, eagerness to learn, and ability to tackle challenges head-on have been really impressive. It's been a privilege to mentor her and watch her grow into the l Development Project Manager she is today. Congratulations, Kat! This achievement is truly well deserved."

From everyone at Halton Housing, congratulations, Kat! This achievement is very much well deserved, and we look forward to seeing you excel in your new role.
