An area of Upton in Widnes is now looking all neat and tidy after Halton Housing alongside its friends and partners joined forces for a cleanup day earlier this week.

Our Customer Engagement team came together alongside Halton Borough Council, Morrisons, Vistry, Cheshire Police, and caring customers to give us a helping hand to spruce up the area around Upton Community Centre.

As part of the day, Halton Borough Council's Health Improvement Team and our Welfare Benefits and Money Advice Team were on hand to offer blood pressure checks and money advice.

There was an astonishing 28 bags of litter collected. The day was a huge success, and the area is now looking fresh from its spring clean.

We would like to thank all who got involved and supported us on this day and give a special mention to Nikki Robinson who kindly donated seeds for volunteers and water/snacks to keep everyone who took park.

To find out how you could get involved and dates for future events, visit our event page.

Take a look at some pictures from the day below.
