New pictures and video show the significant progress being made at our Mercia Place independent living scheme in Runcorn.

The development, being built by Legacie, is our fourth independent living scheme to date. 

Mercia Place will provide 66 much‑needed and affordable one- and two‑bedroom homes for over‑55s, located on a long‑standing vacant brownfield site in the centre of Runcorn Old Town, directly on the High Street.

Inside, all apartments are close to completion and have now reached the decoration stage, and works across the reception, corridors and stairwells are also progressing well.

Externally, the scaffolding has been removed, and site works including car parking, bin stores and footpaths are advancing at pace.

Mercia Place is on track to welcome its first residents this summer.
