Halton Housing’s ‘Okell Street’ development situated in Runcorn, Cheshire brought nine three-bed terraced homes on an affordable rent basis to a former brownfield site near Runcorn Town Centre and contributed to meeting the needs of the local community.

We transformed this piece of unused land into a highly desirable residential area which is also contributing to the Runcorn Town Centre regeneration project led by Halton Borough Council.

The new homes on Okell Street, Runcorn come with the benefit of a range of features. A key design feature is the full brick reveal included to all windows, adding further depth to the façade.

The ground floor layouts comprise of a kitchen, WC, open plan dining / lounge and storage. Off road parking is promoted with the inclusion of the resident’s car park which includes electric charging points.

All properties are provided with private amenity space to the front and rear. Generally, across the scheme, green space is promoted where possible and the scheme delivers a well-balanced mix of hard and soft landscaping. Defensible space is promoted to the front of the properties with the inclusion of a short masonry boundary walls with metal railings, providing a further sense of security.
