Property Pool Plus

To apply to live in one of our affordable rent homes, you will need to register for Property Pool Plus. 

Merseyside housing associations and councils providers list their homes for rent here each week on Property Pool Plus, giving you the chance to find your preferred home with a variety of houses, bungalows, flats, apartments and sheltered accommodation of various sizes available to meet your needs. 

Once your account has been activated, you can bid for up to three properties in each weekly bidding cycle. You will need to submit proof of identification and provide all of the requested information during the registration process.

Registering for Property Pool Plus

If you're interested in applying for affordable housing you must join the Property Pool Plus Housing Register. 

Am I eligible?

Property Pool Plus gives priority to local people who need a home and can't afford to buy or rent privately. You can join the register if:

  • you're aged 16 or over
  • you're a UK national or a person not subject to immigration control
  • you don't own your own home or have equity to secure the accommodation you need
  • you and your family will make good tenants

How to register

You'll need the following information to hand before you start the process:

  • Full names and dates of birth of everyone to be included in your registration for rehousing
  • National Insurance Number for all adults who are to be rehoused with you
  • 5 year address history for all adults who are to be rehoused with you
  • If you rent your current accommodation, your landlords name address and contact details
  • Nationality, ethnic origin and immigration status of everyone who is to be rehoused with you
  • Equalities monitoring information including ethnic origin, religion, sexuality, disability for anyone who is to be rehoused with you
  • Details of any unspent criminal convictions and contact details of Probation Office (if applicable), for anyone who is to be rehoused with you
  • Details of any Armed Forces service including dates of service, for anyone who is to be rehoused with you
  • You will also need a pen and paper or other means of noting your login reference number, as this will be issued to you during the application process.

Bidding on a home

You can bid for up to three properties in each weekly bidding cycle. When you place a bid, the system will show how many other higher priority bids are above you. You can change your bids at any point while the weekly bidding cycle is open.

A list of qualifying applicants that have placed bids will be produced when the cycle closes. The list will prioritise applicants in order of their band, and application or priority date. 

Every 12 months we will write to you to check your housing situation and confirm that you wish to stay on the housing register. If we don’t hear from you within four weeks of sending you the letter, we will assume that you no longer wish to remain on the register and your application will be cancelled.

You will be able to bid for a maximum of 3 properties during the time they are advertised. Bids will not be accepted after midnight on a Sunday. Auto bids are applied after midnight on a Sunday, this may change your shortlist position therefore it id advisable to check your final shortlist position each Monday once the cycle has ended.
