Part 1: Spruce Up Your Streets – 10am to 1pm

We'll be kicking off the day at Viking Court, Widnes, WA8 7SW, where teams from across Halton Housing will come together to help 'spruce up' the outdoor communal spaces. This will include general tidying, tackling any immediate maintenance issues, and making the area cleaner and more welcoming for residents.

This is a great opportunity for residents to get involved and make a real difference in their neighbourhood. Whether you're keen to help out or just want to come along and see what's happening, everyone is welcome. Your Neighbourhood Officer, David, will also be on hand during this session to listen to any concerns or feedback you may have about your home or the local area.

Taking part not only helps improve where you live but also gives you the chance to meet neighbours, Halton Housing staff, and find out more about what’s happening in your community.

Please see the map below for the specific starting point:

Part 2: Estate Walkabout & Litter Pick – 4pm to 6pm

In the afternoon, we’ll be continuing the event with a litter pick and Estate Walkabout, starting from Margaret Court Car Park, Widnes, WA8 7XZ. This walkabout will cover areas within Lugsdale A and B, including streets such as Cambridge Street, Oxford Street, Quinn Street, Trinity Place, Brynn Street, Keble Street, Alforde Street, Clarke Gardens, Lacey Court and Street, Catherine Street, Adelaide Court, Margaret Court, Elizabeth Court, Charlotte Walk, Suttons Lane, and Queens Court.

Please see the map below for the specific starting point:

The purpose of the walkabout is to identify and respond to any issues across the estate - whether that’s fly-tipping, property repairs, or concerns about the communal environment. You’ll have the chance to speak directly with our teams and raise any matters you think we should be aware of.

We hope you can join us at either or both parts of the event. It’s a great way to show pride in your neighbourhood, meet new people, and work together to make the area a better place for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
