Christmas has come early for two of our apprentices Molly and Daniel, who have been awarded distinctions in their respective apprenticeship qualifications.

Molly, our Digital Marketing Apprentice, joined Halton Housing in spring 2021, and with support and mentoring from the Marketing and Communications team, completed her apprenticeship qualification, in partnership with Riverside College, in the last month.

In April, Molly was also shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year 2022 at the Halton Business Awards.

Meanwhile, Daniel, Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice, began his apprenticeship journey with Halton Housing in September 2020, working alongside our experienced tradespeople to gain hands on experience whilst attending Riverside College.

Karen Lopez, Halton Housing Organisational Development Officer said: “Well done and congratulations to Molly and Dan. Apprentices make a vital contribution to our business and we’re extremely proud of the work they have put in during their apprenticeship. Working and studying at the same time is no easy task, and they thoroughly deserve the distinctions they have earned.  We are looking forward to seeing them develop and grow in their careers.”

We have had a vibrant programme of apprenticeships at Halton Housing over recent years with lots of success stories and even some awards!  We recognise the importance of providing employment opportunities for young people in the borough, working with local education providers.

Next year, we will see several more of our apprentices complete their qualifications in a range of areas including electrical, plumbing, heating and finance.

On behalf of everyone at Halton Housing, we would like to congratulate Molly and Dan and wish them the very best of luck in their future careers.
