Members of our Grounds Maintenance Team recently volunteered their time and expertise to support our nominated charity, Halton Haven Hospice.

They carried out essential tree works to make the woodland area safer and more accessible. This vital work lays the foundation for future environmental improvements, helping to create a peaceful, natural space where patients and their families can spend meaningful time together.

One team member even spent their first day on the job at Halton Haven - what an inspiring way to start!

In total, around 6 tonnes of tree timber were recycled, with an estimated commercial value of £8,000.

A big thank you to Colin Fowler Plant Services for providing the necessary equipment to make this work possible.

Looking ahead, the team plans to return in the Autumn to sow seeds for a vibrant Springtime display in the woodland area.
