As part of our ongoing support for Halton Haven Hospice, our nominated charity for the year, we’ve been proud to contribute not only through fundraising — but also by offering practical help through the time, skills, and dedication of our colleagues.

Recently, members of our Homes team carried out essential flagging work at the hospice, installing a brand-new pathway from the kitchen to the bin store area. This improvement has made a real difference to the day-to-day operations at Halton Haven, enhancing safety and accessibility for staff managing waste.

The commercial value of the work — including materials, time, and expertise — is estimated at £2,000, but the impact goes far beyond cost. It’s a meaningful example of how we’re using our resources and expertise to support our community partners in ways that matter.

In August, members of our Grounds Maintenance Team carried out essential tree works to make the woodland area safer and more accessible. 

By improving the hospice’s outdoor spaces, we’ve helped make daily tasks easier and safer for the dedicated staff who care for patients and families every day.
